Ownership of The Cosmic Veil

The Cosmic Veil is an original creative project owned and operated by Ashen Phoenix Games.

Ashen Phoenix Games’ intellectual property rights apply to the original creative material created by or legally assigned to the company for The Cosmic Veil.

This may include, where legally applicable:

Original storylines and plots
Original characters
Character designs and concepts created by the company
Original factions and organizations
Original lore and mythology
Original fictional locations
Original worldbuilding
Original written material
Original artwork and other creative works
Other intellectual property specifically created and owned by Ashen Phoenix Games

Ashen Phoenix Games does not claim ownership of material that belongs to another creator or rights holder.

Ashen Phoenix Games Does Not Own the Metaverse

Ashen Phoenix Games does NOT own the Metaverse.

The Metaverse is a broader fictional and community-connected multiverse containing numerous independent roleplays, creators, stories, characters, and fictional properties.

Ashen Phoenix Games’ ownership of The Cosmic Veil and Black Wolves Rebellion does not grant the company ownership over the Metaverse as a whole.

Other creators and roleplay groups may own their own fictional properties within the broader Metaverse.

The existence of a connection between an independent roleplay and an Ashen Phoenix Games project does not automatically transfer ownership of that roleplay, its characters, its stories, or its intellectual property to Ashen Phoenix Games.

The Cosmic Veil is an Ashen Phoenix Games property that exists within the broader Metaverse; it does not represent ownership of the Metaverse itself.

Black Wolves Rebellion & The Cosmic Veil

For the purposes of Ashen Phoenix Games’ official intellectual property portfolio, the company claims ownership only over its own original properties, including:

Black Wolves Rebellion

and

The Cosmic Veil

This ownership applies to the original creative material belonging to those projects.

It does not extend to unrelated roleplays, creators, stories, characters, factions, or other intellectual property belonging to other members of the broader community.

Third-Party Intellectual Property

Ashen Phoenix Games does not claim ownership of third-party:

Characters
Stories
Factions
Models
Avatars
Worlds
Animations
Textures
Music
Audio
Software
Artwork
Other creative assets

Third-party material remains the property of its respective creators, licensors, or rights holders and may be governed by separate licenses or permissions.

The appearance or use of third-party material in connection with a roleplay does not automatically make that material the property of Ashen Phoenix Games.

Copyrighted & Unowned Characters, Stories, and Factions

Any copyrighted or otherwise protected character, story, faction, setting, or other intellectual property that Ashen Phoenix Games does not own or have appropriate rights to use is not considered official Ashen Phoenix Games canon.

Such material will not be represented as original Ashen Phoenix Games intellectual property.

Additionally, third-party intellectual property that Ashen Phoenix Games does not own or have permission to use will not be incorporated into official Ashen Phoenix Games games, stories, or other official productions without the appropriate rights, licenses, or authorization.

A character or faction appearing in a community roleplay, crossover, fan creation, or unofficial event does not automatically make that character or faction part of the official canon of Black Wolves Rebellion or The Cosmic Veil.

Official Canon

The official canon of Black Wolves Rebellion and The Cosmic Veil consists of the original fictional material owned or legally controlled by Ashen Phoenix Games, along with third-party material for which the company has obtained appropriate authorization.

Community-created content, crossover stories, independently owned characters, and third-party fictional properties may exist within the broader Metaverse without becoming official Ashen Phoenix Games canon.

Unless Ashen Phoenix Games explicitly recognizes something as official, it should not be interpreted as canon to Black Wolves Rebellion or The Cosmic Veil.

VRChat & Third-Party Platforms

Black Wolves Rebellion and The Cosmic Veil are roleplay projects created using VRChat and other third-party technologies and services.

Ashen Phoenix Games does not own VRChat, the VRChat platform, its software, its technology, or its intellectual property.

Likewise, Ashen Phoenix Games does not claim ownership of third-party VRChat worlds, avatars, models, assets, tools, or other content unless that material was specifically created by or legally acquired and owned by the company.

The use of VRChat as the platform for these projects does not constitute ownership of the platform or its underlying technology.

Ownership in Simple Terms

To make the distinction clear:

Ashen Phoenix Games owns:
The original intellectual property created and legally controlled by the company for Black Wolves Rebellion and The Cosmic Veil.

Ashen Phoenix Games does not own:
The broader Metaverse, VRChat, third-party roleplays, or intellectual property belonging to other creators.

Third-party characters, stories, factions, models, worlds, and assets:
Remain the property of their respective owners unless Ashen Phoenix Games has legally obtained the necessary rights.

Unofficial community content:
Is not automatically part of Ashen Phoenix Games canon.

Unowned or unauthorized copyrighted material:
Will not be presented as Ashen Phoenix Games intellectual property or incorporated into official company games and productions without appropriate authorization.

This distinction exists to clearly separate Ashen Phoenix Games’ original intellectual property from the broader Metaverse, the VRChat platform, community-created works, and other third-party properties.
